About

As a leader in women's health care, St. Joseph Regional Health Center is bringing a new dimension to women's health in the Brazos Valley by participating in the Spirit of Women hospital network. Spirit of Women is a national network of hospitals, physicians, nurses, therapists and corporate partners in more than 60 U.S. cities who are working together to find innovative ways to educate and inspire women to improve their health awareness and habits. Spirit of Women programs address health topics such as menopause, cancer, diabetes, heart disease, and healthy pregnancy.

St. Joseph Regional Health Center is one of only five Spirit of Women hospitals in Texas and the only Spirit of Women hospital in the southern half of the state. As a network member, St. Joseph will share ideas with some of the nation's best and most recognized health systems on excellence in women's health and will participate in educational events and activities designed especially for women.

"Our objective is to give women more information and help them feel more valued as they make critical choices for themselves and their family members," says Tim Ottinger, Vice President of Communications, St. Joseph Health System.

Area women will be invited to participate in the Spirit of Women program giving them access to seminars and special events and receive special discounts on products and services from local businesses.

The St. Joseph Regional Health Center is sponsored by the Sisters of St. Francis of Sylvania, Ohio and is a member of St. Joseph Health System of Bryan, Texas.
